Our specialization is:
We believe we are exceptionally good “fire-extinguishers” (litigators) but it makes better business sense to help our clients build “fire-guards” (legal review and advice). We encourage our clients to consult well before cases become contested and before any major contractual commitment or any major decision which might or is likely to be contested. Good decisions make good cases which is good for business. That way clients save on time and litigation costs and focus on business. If however prevention fails, our promise is committed, professional, fearless and timely service through any court of law or tribunal.
Under the leadership of the Managing Partner, Johane Zviuya, our Litigation Services Division offers the following services:
Our team of lawyers consist of seasoned litigators who have represented and defended many over the years, ordinary and prominent. We have handled and continue to handle cases of all who seek our help among them high profile individuals and renowned human rights defenders. As a firm we actively offer pro-bono services to those who ordinarily cannot afford legal defense through the pro-deo programme, and through lawyers associations and our own initiatives.
We fearlessly defend the weak against the powerful especially the state and any of its arms. We offer paid for private defence, pro-deo defence as well as pro-bono public interest litigation for both individuals and classes of people. Utilising the contingency fee schemes permitted by the law we can assist in costly test litigation and or class action for groups affected by injustice. We fear no one and we fight every case as if our very existence depends on it…to the best of our ability, as our motto runs. Our scope covers all courts and tribunals and claims for injury and death from accidents both at work and on roads. We are able to handle private prosecutions as well.
As part of service to both large corporations and individuals we offer honest and frank civil case pre-litigation review and advice as well as case settlement negotiation service to avoid litigation or curtail scope, length and cost of same. If settlement fails then we promise timely, professional, fearless and committed pursuit or defense of client matters. We offer service to enforce rights in family law, civil redress and damages claims, employment law, commercial law and all business transactions disputes. Our client service charter is the yardstick by which in addition to client review, we measure and try to maintain standards.
Pro-bono work especially for the cause of human rights by volunteering time, skills, services and resources for the cause of an independent legal profession and for training in and litigating on human rights.
